The end of 2013 is near and what a great year it has been for me!
K9 Pro, Steve Courtney Dog Training and Herzhund Malinois are all thriving. With Christmas upon us I wanted to say thank you too all the people that made this year so good for me.
I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing people and their dogs this year, not necessarily just those who are professional handlers and trainers, but the “APOs” (average pet owners) who come and see me every week too. I feel lucky because I rarely see anything average about my clients.
You have been super dedicated, caring and focussed on helping your dogs overcome behaviour issues and or improving their training, you can bet your dogs already felt like it’s Christmas a few times this year!
I used to be able to name a few people in my Christmas email but gee this year I could write pages of names… Every year people show more dedication to their four legged family members and get them the help they so need, invest time and effort in teaching their dogs better ways to learn and behave.
We have had more interstate people than ever travelling up to K9 Pro from all over the country, staying locally then going home and doing really well, like Clarissa. My competition clients are belting out some awesome work, leaving us breathless watching them work, and the daily line of mums and dads and individuals who bring their dogs to me for that all needed helping hand, all of you in your own way really inspire me.
Inspire me to remember every day how much our dogs have become such big part of all our lives, leaving the “pet dog” description behind and replacing it with ‘Heart Dog”.
Our online store is seeing record numbers as people search out the very best equipment for their dogs, toys and products to make and keep their dogs comfortable. This year I also bred my first
litter of Belgian Malinois, I have bred German Shepherds and Rottweilers before and continue to work with many breeders, but this year I produced what I believe will be very solid working dogs.
As I write this they are just a week old but already showing very advanced development, we all love them here and will do our best to keep you all updated with their progress.
Thank you for another awesome year, I hope you find the time to have a laugh with your dogs and family amongst the chaos of the Christmas run around.
We will all be back in 2014, we have so much planned, and I want to ask you one final question…
“Are you ready?”
Steve Courtney
